Having a good working relationship with your interior designer is vital. Here’s how you can get to know me more before we work together!

Some regular readers of this blog may know that as well as running my interior design studio, I am also an assistant stylist in the interior magazine world.

What does this mean?

Well, essentially, I work with interior stylists to create beautiful rooms for magazine shoots, or help to style interior related products for a company for their promotional photoshoots. Here’s an example of a Christmas photoshoot that I assisted on for Country Homes and Interiors magazine.

Why is this important?

As well as assisting on magazine shoots, I am also a writer for the leading interior styling industry website in the UK, Inside Stylists.

So why am I sharing this with you? Two reasons. First, my experience working with stylists on magazines means that I have a direct insight into trends and how to style a home! All very useful for interior design. Secondly, I was recently interviewed on the Inside Stylists podcast, so that readers of the site could get to know me.

What you’ll learn by listening to the podcast

In the podcast, I talk about:

  • Why I love Interior Design
  • How I trained as an interior designer
  • How I became and assistant stylist
  • Who inspires me
  • My top tips for getting started in the world of interior styling

So, if you are thinking of hiring me for your interior design or styling project, but would like to get to know a bit more about me first, you can! You can listen to the podcast by clicking the link under the image below.
