Goal list

I’ve been inspired by Elsie over on A Beautiful Mess to create a goal list containing 4 simple goals which I am aiming to achieve before 2013. I have to admit that I’m a bit of a list person and so usually love to set goals for myself. However, these are more interesting as they are related to things that I would like to accomplish, not necessarily items to strike off my ‘to do’ list. Also, after achieving each goal you get to reward yourself – nice. I shall be buying something (small) off my Amazon or Etsy wishlist as my reward!

So here are my goals:

1. Learn to edit photos using photoshop. This is something I’ve wanted to do for ages. I love seeing the way that fellow bloggers lay out their photographs and particularly like the cirlces or other images that people lay across their pictures before typing over them. I’m guessing it’s photoshop and some sort of digital scrapbooking software right? Let me know if you know how to do it as I’d love to learn!

2. Take more pictures of everyday life. To be honest this has been a goal of mine for a while so I’ve sort of started doing it already. I have a catagory on my phone camera roll called ‘The everyday but lovely’ where I’m trying to store these pictures. Mainly my bad attempts at ‘arty’ shots of Mr P’s shadow or something like that. It’s not really working out for me much at the moment but I’m going to persist…

3. Exercise more to imporve my fitness. This is needed. Badly. Especially after our recent trip to the States which you think would’ve been some sort of eating tour the way we were going. Anyway, I’ve not been very good at looking after myself in this way recently and need to do better. I’ve put it on my goal list as at the moment I’m cycling to work 2x a week to get fitter but I know that when Winter and the darker mornings/evenings hit it will be hard. So some extra motivation is good. Perhaps I should save up a bit for the reward for this one. You know, just to make sure I stick to it and everything.

4. Complete a new creative project for Winter. You’ll notice that I’ve put Winter and not Autumn as I’m going to need as much time as possible to get this one done! I always love to start projects but am not that great at finishing them…

How about you? Give it a go and let me know what your 4 goals are by leaving a link to your blog or comment in the comments box.
