For the past two Saturday mornings, I’ve spent 30-40 minutes learning how to manage a team in the workplace, how to juggle family and worklife successfully (or at least try) and how to develop a consistent approach to blogging. I’ve loved it. Admittedly I’m a bit of a geek and love learning but to do so in such a cozy and comfortable way – in bed with a cup if tea – is just heaven!
I’ve learnt from some of the best in the blogging business – such as Elsie and Emma from A Beautiful Mess. And all for free. How? Through listening to podcasts. My two favourite podcasts at present are from Jess Lively and Elise Blaha Cripe. Both ladies are extremely talented and successful bloggers/small business owners and so they have a wealth of experience to share. Plus, they have some amazing contacts whom they draw upon for the material for their podcasts. Take a look for yourself and see. The next podcast on my playlist from Jess Lively is ‘Full-time blogging and breadwinning’ with Nicole Balch (see what I mean about the amazing material?)
I cannot recommend these ladies and their podcasts to you enough. Go grab your headphones, download and start listening!

I agree! These two podcasts have really inspired me lately. I listen to them while walking on the treadmill, washing dishes, and cooking breakfast. Another one I have enjoyed lately is the Sarah Bagley podcast.
Oh, I haven’t come across Sarah Bagley. I’ll check it out this weekend. Thanks for the tip!

I’ve been listening to both podcasts from the beginning and they are both awesome. Have you checked out Jessica Kumpferman’s podcast called Lady Business Radio. Her episodes are a little longer but they are with all kinds of different business owners across the spectrum. I highly recommend her as well. Also, the How They Blog podcast is good, too!
Sounds good Ashley, thanks for the tip!
