Sunday night feeling

Hi there, how was your weekend? We had a pretty quiet one around here which was just what we needed. Saturday was spent catching up with friends over brunch and then relaxing in front of the TV in the evening. Bliss. We’ve been really bay the past few weekends and so it was good to have the opportunity to be at home and do nothing in particular.

As promised, I’m sharing some of the photographs that I’ve been posting on my instagram account this week as part of the #decemberreflections challenge set by Susannah Conway. It’s not too late to join in if you want to.

I had to stop and take a photo of this red phone box in Primrose Hill in London the other day. It’s rare that you see these iconic phone boxes now.

UK Winter sunset

This winter sunset image was taken last weekend after having lunch with friends in Surbiton.

Syon Park enchanted forest walkLast night Toby and I went to Syon House’s Enchanted woodland walk. Every year they light up the park and out on a spectacular walk of around a mile and a half. It’s gorgeous to wander around with a mulled wine in your hands and soak up the atmosphere. We’ve been for the past few years and it’s becoming a bit of a Christmas season tradition for us. Afterwards we put lights on the Christmas tree and began to hang our decorations up around the house and then went to our church carol service today. So all in all its been a very festive weekend! It almost feels a shame to have to go to work tomorrow as I think I’ve lulled myself into an early Christmas break with all that we have done over the past 2 days.

Whatever your work week holds, I wish you a happy and productive one.

Have a good week,
