Today I’m back with the second part of my goal update. You can see the first post here. As you may recall, I set myself 10 goals this year that I’d like to achieve and one of them is to read 12 books that have been on my Amazon wishlist for a while now.
Here’s the next 6 books on my list:
‘Dark Fire’ by C.J Sansom (I’ve read all the other books in this series so far. I really enjoy Sansom’s writing style and find that I get engrossed in these books pretty quickly. Plus I’m a bit of a history nerd and as these books are set in the Tudor period, it ticks lots of boxes for me!) I’m also looking forward to reading ‘Into the Darkest Corner’ by Elizabeth Haynes and ‘Rules of Civility’ by Amor Towles.
I’m currently reading ‘The Somnambulist’ by Essie Fox – another historical drama. Can you spot a theme here? I also want to read the revamped ‘Sense and Sensibility’ by Joanna Trollope and ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ by James Thurber.
I’ve read 2 of the books on my list so far and am now on the third so I’m quite pleased with my progress! To be honest, I love reading though and so this isn’t a particularly difficult goal for me. I decided that I wanted to set goals that I would enjoy achieving as otherwise I knew that I wouldn’t stick to them. I have set a few others that I know I will find more challenging but that’s for another post…

Into The Darkest Corner is fabulous. An addictive and at times disturbing read, definitely recommend reading the lovely Rules Of Civility afterwards for some glamorous light relief!
Good tip, thanks Angie!x
