Sunday night feeling

Good evening, how is your weekend so far? It’s a bank holiday this weekend in the UK, which is always welcome. Toby and I are heading to a food festival tomorrow which I’m really looking forward to. I’ve not been to a food festival before but am planning to go hungry!

Chelsea in Bloom Liz Earle

Yesterday was the first Saturday in a long time that we did not have fully booked with house hunting. We decided to take advantage of this and headed into central London for a much needed date day. We wandered around Sloane Square and took in the beautiful creations of Chelsea in Bloom before stopping off for some lunch. For those who are not familiar with this yearly tradition, some of the shops around Chelsea decorate the exterior or interior of their stores with flowers according to a yearly theme during the Chelsea flower show. This year the theme was ‘fairytale’. Toby and I went to the Chelsea flower show last year but didn’t get to make it this year sadly. I’m hoping we can go to Hampton Court flower show in a few weeks instead.

After Chelsea, we headed over to Piccadilly so that we could visit a science exhibition. Yes, a date with Toby will always include some sort of science feature! We stopped to watch a very cool band called ‘The Thirst’ on the way as they were performing in the open air at Piccadilly Circus. This was closely followed by a cream tea at Fortnum and Masons. So all in all, a good day.

The Thirst

I have some more interior design inspiration and an ‘life lately’ post to share in the week so be sure to check back in.

Have a great week,
