Sunday night feeling

Sunday night feeling MayGood evening, how was your weekend? We had a very busy one but were on leave last week and so had managed to rest lots then, which was good. I thought I’d catch up with you all via a ‘recent happenings’ post tonight. So here’s what life has looked like recently!

Reading: I’ve just started ‘Snobs’ by Julian Fellows, the writer and creator of Downton Abbey. Have you read it? I finished ‘The Shock of the Fall’ last week and whilst it is a harrowing read in places, I thoroughly recommend it. I cried at the ending. I can’t remember the last time a book moved me to tears. In fact I’m not sure a book ever has. It’s an amazing read.

Visiting: Toby and I went to a food fair at Syon Park last Monday for the bank holiday. It was a great day out and we enjoyed some wine tasting which was fun.

Making: My most recent make is the magnetic memo board pictured above. I posted a tutorial for it here on the blog. My next project is a sock monkey for a friend’s new baby.

Seeing: We saw a cool band called ‘The Thirst’ whilst passing through London last weekend and stopped to watch them for a while. It’s been ages since we last went to a live music gig so I’m hoping we can go to see something soon.

Planning: There’s so much we are planning at the moment. It’s an exciting time! As well as the house move, we are making some plans for the summer as it is our ten year wedding anniversary in July. It’s scary how quickly the last 10 years have passed!

What have you been up to recently? Do you have any book recommendations or places to visit in the summer?

Have a good week,

C.x
