I mentioned in a previous post that I recently went to the Laura Ashley Autumn/Winter 16 press show. One of the things that I enjoy the most about being an interiors blogger is the chance to have a look behind the scenes with a brand and see what is coming up in the near future. There were several rooms set up for the press to see and I liked them all but definitely had a few favourites. For example, the soft lilac and silver combination in the Baroque room caught my eye and so I thought I’d share some images with you so that you can see the trend for yourself.
I was interested to see the bold wallpaper being used with confidence in these images. You may have noticed the growing trend for placing wallpaper on the ceilings recently. What do you think of it? It’s a bold choice but I actually think it would look amazing in a small loft room or reading nook area. If a flowered pattern isn’t to your taste, perhaps you could try a bold graphic print in the same shade of lilac or silver?
I love the kitchen shot in this scheme. It’s interesting to see silver making a strong comeback as it’s been so popular to use copper and gold accents for kitchen hardware recently. I have a feeling however that we won’t have seen the last of the copper trend – which is fine by me!
What are your opinions? Do you like the colour combination of silver and lilac?
